Hari Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
Hari is an app that helps you get things done with agents that work across your email, calendar, connected apps and the websites you choose. Hari is made by BuildForever, Inc. ("BuildForever," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information Hari collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Hari and our email app Extra share one account system. If you use both apps, they use the same account and the same connected mailboxes, and deleting your account deletes it for both apps.
1. Information we collect
Account and sign-in
- Your name, email address and profile photo from the Google or Microsoft account you sign in with, or your phone number if you sign in with a code sent by text message.
- Sign-in tokens for the accounts you connect, stored encrypted.
Email and calendar data you connect
- Google: with your permission, Hari reads, organizes and sends email in your Gmail account (scope
gmail.modify) and, if you allow it, reads and updates your Google Calendar (scopecalendar). We also receive your basic profile and email address. - Microsoft: with your permission, Hari reads, organizes and sends email, reads contacts, updates mailbox settings and reads and updates calendars in your Microsoft account.
- This includes message content, attachments, senders, recipients, subject lines, dates and calendar event details.
Content you create in Hari
- Spaces, messages to your agents, notes, goals, files and photos you add, and the results your agents produce.
- If you share a Space, the people you invite can see the Space and what is posted in it.
Apps and websites you connect
- If you connect other apps (for example through our integration provider), we store the connection and the results your agents retrieve.
- If you sign in to a website so an agent can use it for you, we transfer that website's sign-in cookies to the cloud browser that runs your agent. For some websites you may enter your username, password or one-time code in Hari; we pass them once to the cloud browser provider to sign in and do not store them.
Device permissions
- Contacts: used on your device to show photos for people you email. Your address book is not uploaded to our servers.
- Microphone: when you use voice, audio is streamed from your device to our speech recognition provider to create a transcript. We do not store the audio. The transcript is stored only if you send it as a message.
- Location: Hari does not collect your location. Websites you open inside Hari may ask for it, and your answer goes to that website.
- Photos and camera: used only when you choose to add a photo or file.
Device, usage and diagnostics
- Device model, operating system and app version, time zone, push notification token, IP address and request logs.
- Product analytics about how you use Hari (for example screens viewed and features used), linked to your account and email address, and crash reports.
Purchases
- Subscriptions are purchased through Apple. We receive your subscription status, not your card details.
- Where available, if you connect a bank account or a payment wallet so an agent can help with money tasks, we receive balances and transactions through Plaid, or a payment wallet through Link by Stripe.
2. How we use information
- To provide Hari: run your agents, sync and organize your email and calendar, draft and send messages you approve, and send notifications.
- To keep Hari secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To understand how Hari is used and improve its features.
- To communicate with you about your account and respond to support requests.
- To comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Google user data
Hari's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the Hari features you use, such as summarizing and organizing your email, answering your requests about your email and calendar, and drafting and sending messages you approve.
- To provide these features, parts of your email and calendar are sent to the AI model providers listed in section 4, which process it on our behalf. Under their terms and our settings, these providers do not use your data to train their models. Some may keep inputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
- We use sender, subject line and a short preview from users' email, together with the category corrections users make, to train and evaluate the models that sort email into categories in Hari and Extra.
- We do not transfer Google user data to others except as needed to provide or improve these features, for security, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
- People at BuildForever do not read your email except when you ask us to (for example in a support request), to investigate security issues or abuse, to comply with law, or, for a limited number of authorized staff, to debug and evaluate features such as email categorization and parsing.
4. Who we share information with
We share information with service providers that help us run Hari, only as needed for the service they provide:
- Google Cloud: hosting, databases and file storage (United States).
- OpenAI, Anthropic and OpenRouter (which routes to model providers such as DeepInfra, Cloudflare, Together and Fireworks): AI processing.
- Browser Use, Kernel and E2B: cloud browsers and sandboxes that let your agents use websites and run tasks.
- Composio: connections to other apps you choose to connect.
- Deepgram: speech recognition for voice.
- Twilio: phone number verification.
- Serper: web and place search queries your agents make.
- Apple: push notifications and in-app purchases.
- Plaid and Stripe: bank and payment connections, only if you connect them.
- Mixpanel and Statsig: product analytics and feature settings.
- Bugsnag: crash reporting.
We may also share information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users and others, or as part of a merger or acquisition. People you invite to a shared Space see what is posted in it.
5. How long we keep information
- Full email bodies are deleted automatically 90 days after we store them.
- Email details such as sender, subject line and preview, your Spaces, messages and agent results are kept until you delete them or your account.
- Photos and files you upload to chats are deleted after 30 days.
- Database backups are kept for up to 7 days. Operational logs are kept for up to 30 days, and security and audit logs for up to two years.
- When you delete your account, we delete your data as described on our account deletion page, which also lists what we keep afterwards.
6. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, encrypt the sign-in tokens for your connected accounts with a dedicated key, and limit access to production systems to authorized staff.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in Hari, go to Settings, Your account, Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
- Disconnect Google: remove Hari's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This stops syncing but does not delete data already stored; delete your account to remove it.
- Access, correction and deletion requests: email help@buildforever.com. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
- You can turn off notifications and device permissions in your device settings.
8. Children
Hari is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
BuildForever is based in the United States and processes information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will notify you in the app or by email.
